Welcome to Driving Financial Sustainability
for Byway Organizations,
a resource developed by Seaway Trail, Inc.

This interactive CD is intended to be a “road map” pointing toward financial sustainability for byway organizations across America.

How to secure funding for the vital work of the non-profit organizations that are developing and promoting the national collection of premier byways is a question on the minds of byway boards, staff and volunteers. In November 2004 at the invitation of Seaway Trail, Inc., 39 representatives of byways nationwide came together in three meetings to answer that question with information, ideas and inspiration. Other representatives who could not attend the meetings also provided information.

While this CD is not exhaustive in the resources offered, the results of the byway representatives’ brainstorming provide a menu full of exciting possibilities for raising funds to support the byway mission.
